Netflix released the docu-series about Kevin Hart recent mistakes as a business man and person these last couple of years. The docu-series touch on his family, friends, stand up comedy start up, cheating, offending the LGBTQ community, cheating extortion, and many other personal things going in his life.
During the documentary you see him mention the idea of remaking Uptown Saturday Night. He mentions he wants Will Smith and other big name black stars involved. He also took a meeting with Idris Elba to play a villain in the film. Idris seemed very interested in the idea. He really wants Chadwick Boseman to star alongside him. In the docu-series you see Kevin Hart and Chadwick Boseman taking a meeting to discuss the possibility. Chadwick seem like he was fifty-fifty about making a decision.
Chadwick Boseman should take on this role because it would just be black excellence all throughout the film. Possibly be a great film to do before Black Panther 2 releases in 2022. Uptown Saturday Night is an action comedy crime film written by Richard Wesley and directed by and starring Sidney Poitier, with Bill Cosby and Harry Belafonte co-starring back in 1974.
