Tory Lanez has accused Megan Thee Stallion of misusing the legal system following her recent request for a temporary restraining order against him.
In court documents filed on Christmas Eve, Lanez described Megan’s allegations of harassment as “ridiculous” and claimed her legal actions were an attempt to silence him.
Megan filed the restraining order on December 17, alleging that Lanez has engaged in months of torment, including accusations that he has been collaborating with bloggers to disseminate false narratives about her.
This development comes more than a year after Lanez was sentenced to 10 years in prison for shooting Megan in the feet during a high-profile altercation in 2020.
In his response, Lanez denied having any direct contact with Megan since the incident. He also cited California law, which prohibits restraining orders from restricting free speech, arguing that the court should reject her request.
According to Lanez, Megan is backed by significant financial and corporate resources and uses the justice system to suppress dissenting opinions rather than publicly addressing his claims.
Lanez’s filing has reportedly exacerbated the public scrutiny faced by Megan, who has already endured extensive backlash since the 2020 shooting.
Sources close to Megan say she is relying heavily on her label and team to combat the relentless online attacks and maintain her mental well-being.
