Trey Songz won’t face a felony criminal charge for allegedly hitting a woman, because the L.A. District Attorney isn’t buying the case.
Sources inside the law enforcement said the singer’s lawyer, Shawn Holley, gave numerous witness statements to LAPD that contradicted Andrea Buera’s account of events during NBA All-Star Weekend in February.
Holley also provided further info that led to skepticism about Buera’s credibility.
The case will now be referred to the L.A. City Attorney, who will decide whether or not to charge Songz with the lesser charge of misdemeanor domestic violence.
Buera claims Songz assaulted her at a Hollywood Hills party because he was mad she was talking to another man, and beat her so badly she vomited from a concussion.
She also held a press conference at The Bloom Firm on March 13th talking about the incident. Lisa Bloom is representing Andrea Buera in this case. Andrea isn’t seeking any money from Trey Songz. She just wants justice for Trey Songs actions.

Songz surrendered to authorities a few days later after this press conference, but maintained he was “being lied on and falsely accused for someone’s personal gain.”
He might have-known around yesterday that he won’t face any felony criminal charges. He made a post on Instagram and the caption said “God told me not to worry, I said ok.????”
