Twitch streamer Kvrtez has apologized publicly for cheating on her ex-boyfriend while at the same time claiming that he mentally, verbally, and physically abused her for the two-and-a-half years that they were together.
Kvrtez, whose Twitch username is Kathelina and has close to 19,000 followers, was addressing an apparent video released by her ex-boyfriend, Kenneth, that contained an AI cat litter box camera feed along with explicit deleted messages that he allegedly sent, claiming it provided evidence that she cheated on him with a relative.
“First and foremost, I want to start off by taking full accountability for what I did,” Kvrtez began in her response video. “I want to start off by apologizing to the person that I hurt the most in this situation, which was my ex. I want to apologize to my supporters for disappointing them. I did a lot of things that I am not proud of, and I have to own up to them.”
Directly speaking to her ex, Kathelina said, “To my ex, I am so sorry for hurting you, and I am sorry that I did not take your feelings into consideration when I did what I did. But our relationship was not picture perfect as it may seem, and I lost myself in our relationship, and I was in a very dark place at the time when I did what I did.”
She went on to deny that the sexual act had intercourse and also revealed that she had tried to kill herself twice. “I have to take accountability for my actions, and in doing that, I have to come to the realization that I need help for myself and for all my loved ones around me. I know I have done wrong, I fucked up, and I am taking time away to seek professional help in order to correct my mistakes, reflect on what I have done, and to become a better me.”
The apology quickly turned into a tirade about how her ex has always tried to paint himself in a light he is not the one in because he was never a saint. “The reality is that we had a lot of arguments, like any normal relationship. However, our arguments did not consist of anything but verbal, mental, and physical abuse that he subjected me to.”
She claims that her ex was volatile saying that, “he would punch things, he would rip wires in the heat of conflicts, he would yell at me when I cried and he would gaslight me to the point to where I truly believed I was the problem and there was two or three different times that he would approach me and without any warning would choke hold me against the wall and I would be telling him to stop because I was scared, and he would not stop.”
Kvrtez then goes into detail about a sexual assault accusation she has against Kenneth. “The next thing I am about to say to you all are serious allegations that I do know men often get falsely accused of but at the end of the day all I can do is come on here and tell my truth, tell my story, and whether you want to believe me or not.”
According to Kvrtez, a specific night while they were drunk, Kenneth sexually assaulted her, saying, “He would force himself onto me, and I was crying and begging him to stop, and he did not stop.” Kathelina says that he physically injured her and that there is a video of the incident and a photo of her injury.
No police reports have been filed for either party’s allegations, and her ex has not publicly responded to the claims he subjected Kvrtez to abuse. As for her viewers, most did not buy her apology. “This was a complete deflection from the situation and an attempt to hurt his reputation in my eyes and by what I see in the receipt; the receipt flat lines and proves nothing,” read one comment, “The timing of everything screams INSURANCE, and she didn’t even say she messed with her cousin in the video.” Another follower was less gentle in their critique: “The only thing I’m sorry for is that she was caught.” A third follower questioned if she would be streaming at all, “How can u seriously do ur career after this shit? It’s over.”
