Ukraine Allegedly Tried To Get Congolese Man To Fight Against Russia

A Congolese man arrived in the Polish city of Zeshov by bus from south of Kiev, Ukraine, spoke of being turned away by armed men on a train in Ukraine. He said he was even offered weapons so he could fight for Ukraine, while speaking with ABC News.

“They even told us that we are going to give you guns to fight for Ukraine. We’re gonna fight for Ukraine? We are not Ukrainians. We are Black so how can we fight for Ukraine?” The Congolese man told ABC News.

Africans in Ukraine who have been enduring racism while trying to flee the country. Footage showed Africans in Ukraine not being allowed to leave the country, many were left stranded in the cold.
