Today, Victoria Monét, a singer, songwriter, and producer who has been nominated for a Grammy award, has announced her very first solo tour called The Jaguar Tour.
The tour is being organized to promote her new album Jaguar II, which will be released on August 25. The album will be released by Lovett Music/RCA Records.
Due to the 2020 pandemic, she couldn’t go on tour to perform any songs from her highly praised albums JAGUAR and JAGUAR II. This will be the first time that she will tour songs from these albums.
Starting on September 6th in Detroit, Monét will perform in various cities across North America, including Toronto, New York, Atlanta, and Los Angeles, before heading to London, United Kingdom in November for her first solo show.
Tickets for the artist’s event will be available for purchase on Wednesday for those who sign up early and will be available to everyone else on Friday.
The JAGUAR TOUR was announced after Monét released their 3rd single called “ON MY MAMA” from their upcoming album JAGUAR II.
The summer empowerment song has already become very popular, with over 6 million people listening to it in the first 3 weeks after it was released.
Before “On My Mama,” there was a popular song called “PARTY GIRLS” featuring dancehall legend Buju Banton. The music video for “Party Girls,” choreographed by SEAN BANKHEAD, received a lot of positive attention for Victoria’s performance.
As a result, Victoria’s music video reached the top 15 trending videos on YouTube. “Party Girls” and early spring single “SMOKE” FT. LUCKY DAYE both have garnered heavy praise from multiple critics.
These three songs are the start of a new chapter for Victoria Monét after taking a break from her highly praised solo project, JAGUAR, in 2020.
After the first JAGUAR era, Monét kept releasing new songs and worked with artists like Kehlani and Bryson Tiller on remixes and a duet.
Other songs like “COASTIN” helped create the base for the JAGUAR sound and showcased its lasting appeal with beautiful visuals in Monét’s distinct brown tones and 70s style.
Monét’s successful art led to being on television shows like Jimmy Kimmel and Stephen Colbert’s late-night shows, well as performing at festivals like Made In America, Sol Blume, and Day N Vegas.
In March, Monét sold out her first-ever headlining show at the El Rey Theatre in Los Angeles in partnership with Spotify and Goldenvoice which sold out in under one minute.
Since joining RCA Records, the superstar has been getting ready for her future projects and working harder. Victoria Monet is working hard and staying busy. She is getting ready for her first solo tour and getting ready to release her highly anticipated album, JAGUAR II. She shows no signs of slowing down.
