The TikToker is calling on parents and relatives to keep a better eye on the type of content their teenage boys are viewing online, and has listed three behaviors that she claims are a way of knowing whether your teenage boy has gotten into misogynistic “manosphere” content.

“A teenage son, a relative, anyone that you know. Double-check what they’re watching,” Kylie Brewer says in her TikTok video.

The manosphere, which is a loose network of online communities, influencers, and forums built around men’s issues, mainly promotes hostility against women.

According to the influencer, the first sign is the boy suddenly developing sympathy for the ultrarich.

“If you hear them say that, it is No. 1. They all of a sudden pity billionaires,” Brewer said. “You’ll hear them double down defending people like Elon Musk or anything else like this. The weird car s***, you hear them say something like, well, don’t be mean, like, it’s really cool. I’d love to be like that. I just wanna be rich like him one day. Super weird red flag.”

The second sign, according to her, involves using derogatory language toward women.

“No. 2, you hear him call women females, f****, or any type of derogatory comment, especially if he uses slurs like b**** or w****,” Brewer said. “This type of comment is never OK, but it’s certainly an indication that he’s fallen down into some misogynistic content that he has been watching.”

The third sign involves mockery and distaste for the humanities and arts courses.

“And No. 3, he starts to make fun of social science classes or the arts. He develops a deep disdain for education or creativity,” she adds. “That is certainly a sign he’s fallen down into the manosphere type of content.”

According to the TikToker, one of the most popular complaints is when teenagers object to taking art classes in school.

“One of the most common things that I hear is boys complaining that they have to take an art class in high school, which is f****** b******* because it’s one class out of like, I don’t know, 30,” she said. “And the only people concerned with this type of thing that develop a disdain for this are people who are consuming far-right fascist content. And that’s literally just the truth.”

She concludes the video by appealing to her viewers.

“Please be careful! Check in on your loved ones. Especially check in on your teenage son,” Brewer said. “See y’all!”
