“WONKA” to Make Streaming Debut Exclusively on Max on March 8th

Fans of fanciful escapades and chocolate-filled imaginations are in for a treat, as Warner Bros Pictures’ highly awaited feature, “WONKA,” will have its streaming debut exclusively on Max this Friday, March 8th. This new version, from the creators of the renowned “Paddington” flicks and the mystical universe of “Harry Potter,” promises an irresistible blend of magic, music, mayhem, and emotion.

“WONKA,” directed by Paul King, best known for his work on the “Paddington” series, and produced by David Heyman, the brain behind “Harry Potter” and “Gravity,” is a new take on the classic character of Willy Wonka. The amazing Timothée Chalamet will play a young Willy Wonka as he begins on a path to become the world’s greatest inventor, magician, and chocolatier.

Chalamet is joined by an ensemble cast that includes Calah Lane, Keegan-Michael Key, Paterson Joseph, Matt Lucas, Sally Hawkins, Rowan Atkinson, Olivia Colman, Hugh Grant, and many more. With such an impressive cast, “WONKA” promises a lively and imaginative extravaganza full of heart and comedy.

Simon Farnaby and Paul King wrote the script, which is based on King’s story and Roald Dahl’s characters.
