Samantha Irvin, a popular WWE ring announcer on Monday Night Raw, announced via social media that her time with the company has now officially ended. In a touching statement on X, formerly Twitter, on Monday afternoon, Irvin spoke to her appreciation of the WWE Universe by saying, “The time has come to an end for me as your Monday Night Raw Ring Announcer. I love you all so much, and this does not mark the end of my art, but I have a lifetime more to share. Thanks to every fan of the WWE who accepted me.
35-year-old Irvin came to be a force within the wrestling world after being introduced to WWE by Hall of Famer Mark Henry. An eventual aspirant auditioned at the WWE Performance Center, where she was denied. However, her shining talent eventually warranted hiring her as the ring announcer for WWE 205 Live on Peacock starting in April 2021.
Her career moved swiftly, and she also was a ring announcer for WWE NXT before being called up to WWE SmackDown on FOX in January 2022. In February 2023, she took up the prestigious role in WWE Raw and set in the hearts of fans forever.
Regarding her personal life, Irvin is engaged to professional wrestler Ricochet, who not so long ago made the jump to AEW after leaving WWE earlier this year. Her leaving marked the end of an era in itself with WWE, but she let her fans know her journey was far from over.
