In keeping with the 2025 cyber culture trend, all it took was one provocative status, a pink background, and a set of fur boots to set the whole thing ablaze. On November 14th, social media influencer and topic-of-discussion extraordinaire “YesJulz” hopped onto X and laid down her four-word grenade, “Vaping is ugly,” and waited as the 18,000 “likes” rained down on her like manna on the masses.

The Anti-Vape Photoshoot That Caught Everyone by Surprise

The posting included a set of glossy, very girly editorial photographs, and one thing they very clearly communicated to their audience is that this is no longer your grandmother’s public health promotion.

“YesJulz” or a model posing unmistakably like her sported confidence with a tank top emblazoned “VAPING IS UGLY” on it, against a background of cotton candy pink. Later, she showed the “SMOKING IS UGLY” imprint on the back, accompanied by bright yellow STRIPZ shorts, massive fur boots, and a messy floor filled with props. Watermelons. Bananas. Packets of gum, suspiciously resembling those of e-cigarettes.

The campaign was not subtle. It was not understated. It was not intended to be. It was designed to go viral. And it did.

X Users React: From Praise to Existential Cringe

Once the images were on the timeline, the reactions went from comedic devotion to full-blown sociological meltdown. Some people saw salvation. Others saw a thirst trap with a cause. But everybody saw something.

Among the leading responses:

“This could potentially solve the vape crisis,”
“Let me take you to my corporate Christmas party and I’ll quit vaping.”
“The fact you have to sexualize your body to say vaping is ugly, is so weird.”
“u thicc asf but them nicotine strips nasty.”
“I simply tossed out my pen. Thank you for changing my life.”
“only few white women got me in grip she’s one of them ????.”
“It’s not and neither are you.”

“You think so, I don’t smoke anyway.”

The responses were chaotic, thirsty, judgmental, motivational, and almost poetic. Which is to say, business as usual on X.
