Young Thug, aka Jeffrey Williams, filed a motion to modify his probation conditions to visit Atlanta for personal reasons, such as attending family gatherings during the holiday. The move came pursuant to his ongoing case stemming from his plea bargain in the YSL RICO case.
Under terms of his current probation, Williams is prevented from coming into the metro Atlanta area for 10 years of his 15-year probation sentence. His attorneys argue that the Chief Probation Officer for Fulton County does not oppose the request for temporary visitation rights to attend family events.
Along with the motion to grant him permission to travel, Williams’ attorneys have also asked that his new address not be made public due to his public status.
Williams is currently mandated to travel to Atlanta four times a year to give anti-gang and anti-gun violence presentations at local schools or youth programs. A hearing date for the motion to modify probation terms has not been set at this time.
