1. 50 Cent

On May 24, 2000, one of the spookiest Hip Hop moments in history went down when 50 Cent, born Curtis Jackson, was shot nine times at close range outside his grandmother’s home in Queens, New York. Fortunately, 50 Cent survived the attack and was hit in his hand, arm, hip, and face. He had spent a total of 13 days in the hospital and then used that experience for fuel for his breaking-out-of-the-box debut album entitled Get Rich or Die Tryin’.

Before his tragic death in 1996, Tupac Shakur survived a brutal shooting on November 30, 1994, in the lobby of Quad Recording Studios in Manhattan. Although he had survived this first attempt on his life, Tupac was killed two years later in a drive-by shooting in Las Vegas.
