The 15-year-old Celeste Rivas case is the kind of nightmare that remains with you even after you’ve read about it. Authorities found her remains in a Tesla registered to rising music star D4vd after it had been left abandoned in the Hollywood Hills, only to be towed to a hometown impound yard. In it, authorities found pieces of a body that would later be found to be Celeste’s. She had been missing from Lake Elsinore, California, for more than a year.
Too Close to be Comfortable for a Tattoo
Celeste’s mom is the one who first realized the terrifying possibility that the missing girl might be her own daughter. TMZ reports that she assumed the relationship almost right away after hearing about the police’s description of a tattoo found on a girl’s finger, which read “Shhh…”
Celeste also had the tattoo inscribed with red ink prior to her disappearance. News took an even eerie turn after fans realized that D4vd himself now has the same tattoo on his right index finger.
This is where it becomes problematic: pre-2024 photographs of D4vd, roughly around the time of Celeste’s disappearance, depict him with no ink. The first verified shots of him with tattoos arrive in September 2024, months after his disappearance. Strange celebrity coincidence? Or something more ominous?
A Boyfriend Called David
Celeste’s mother also showed one more piece of information that is hard to avoid: that her daughter had a boyfriend called David. Whilst “David” is hardly a rare name, a similarity to the painter’s name has contributed yet another creepy aspect.

The Tesla is registered to D4vd, whose Texas tags were on the car. Police verify that nobody ever did steal the car, but haven’t yet eliminated who could have been driving it before it ended up abandoned on September 8th. All the more curious is that such a gruesome discovery would be found in a celebrity’s car, one that belongs to an individual who has been traveling overseas and has been away from Los Angeles for over a month.
Currently, authorities haven’t released any suspects. But the image is impossible to avoid: a teen girl missing who is discovered in one’s vehicle with a top-charting performer who shares with her a common tattoo.
