A 15-year-old boy has received a 100-year jail term for his involvement in a gang shooting incident outside a club, which resulted in the death of a 26-year-old woman in February 2025.
Jo’Majze Larry was convicted in the Madison County court on charges of murder and gang-related crimes. Judge David Happe sentenced Larry to 50 years for the murder of Dayla Swain and another 50 years due to a criminal gang sentencing enhancement.
Larry faced trial alongside co-defendant Rashawn Samuels, aged 19, who was also found guilty.
According to the prosecution, the shooting incident occurred as a result of an attempt by members of the Mickey Cobra Nation street gang to shoot a witness in another murder case. Instead, they killed Swain and injured others.
Indiana law permits the imposition of a consecutive sentence whenever a felony aids a criminal gang.
