A new teaser for STARZ’s “Fightland” is out, previewing the crime drama in which the protagonist seeks revenge for his murdered brother.

In the teaser, STARZ highlights the importance of the upcoming production by stating that “Fightland” is STARZ’s first fully owned series and that it is executive-produced by Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, whose name they use to draw attention.

According to the plot of the new thriller, Duke Kilroy, a boxer from Britain, loses his younger brother, Calvin, who is killed when Duke becomes the world heavyweight champion. It drives Duke mad, and he ends up in an eight-year-long prison term in America.

When the hero is released and uncovers something shocking, he returns to Britain to take revenge on Kingsley Marshall, who is a criminal kingpin and a former boxing promoter, and the one who is responsible for his brother’s death. However, Kingsley is nowhere to be found, leaving his wife, Joy, the woman Duke loves, and their children to cope with the consequences.

The plot revolves around Duke, who joins a cartel that tries to seize control over the drug market in London and infiltrates Kingsley’s kingdom to destroy it from the inside and locate the murderer of his brother. In the dangerous world of crime, where there are lots of conflicting interests, Duke applies all his skills as a champion to get revenge for his brother.

Howard Charles is going to play Duke Kilroy, while Nicholas Pinnock will star as Kingsley Marshall. The rest of the cast will feature Deborah Ayorinde as Joy, Anita-Joy Uwajeh as Cebella “CeCe” Marshall, Charles Babalola as Ezekiel “Zeek” Marshall, Tahirah Sharif as Kim Harper, Tyler Conti as Justin “Jay” Hall, and Richard Pepple as Gary “Gazzer” Kilroy.

Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson is producing “Fightland” under his label, G-Unit Film & Television, with Francis Hopkinson and Kate Leadbetter of Expanded Media as producers. The series was written and created by Daniel Fajemisin-Duncan and Marlon Smith, who are also executive producers and writers. Damione Macedon and Raphael Jackson Jr. will act as the show’s showrunners, executive producers, and writers. Otto Bathurst, known for his work in “Peaky Blinders,” will direct the first two episodes of the new show.

“FIGHTLAND” airs Friday, July 31, on STARZ.
