A 75-year-old lady was shot in the back on Wednesday morning after she was distributing baked food at a Chevron gas station.

The police are still trying to track down any suspects for that crime.

Dorothy Gordon was distributing baked goods at a gas station in East Point when the incident occurred. She was initially seen falling to the ground. However, according to the medics, she had been shot in the back.

The victim was rushed to Grady Memorial Hospital, where she is currently being treated with the bullet still lodged in her back.

The police have yet to identify the suspect and the motive for the crime.

Justin Gordon, who is Dorothy’s son, condemned whoever was responsible for such an act.

“They were cowards. To shoot somebody, then run away. It is a coward move,” he added.

The East Point police encourage everyone to provide information regarding this case.
