Spike Lee’s given us an official look at his new joint headed to Netflix. Da 5 Bloods is a war drama centered on four African American vets who return to Vietnam in search of remains of their fallen leader and buried treasures they hid during the war.
It marks as Lee’s latest feature following his 2018 Academy Award-winning historical drama, BlacKkKlansman. Delroy Lindo, Norm Lewis, Chadwick Boseman, Jonathan Majors, Clarke Peters, and Isiah Whitlock Jr. star in this ensemble epic which connects racial politics of the past with those of today while also exploring themes of embattled humanity, nature, and the immoralities of war.
