Swedish pop singer Tove Lo is coming back to the U.S. with her Estrus World Tour this spring in nine headline concerts, ending May 7 at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colorado.

The tour, announced Tuesday, will kick off April 19 at South Side Ballroom in Dallas. Then it goes on to Houston; Raleigh, North Carolina; Washington; Philadelphia; Boston; Madison, Wisconsin; St. Paul, Minnesota; and ends in Colorado.

Coco & Clair Clair will open each concert. Cobrah will play as a special guest at the Red Rocks concert.

Artist presale will start on Wednesday at 10 a.m. local time, while general on-sale will start on Friday at 10 a.m. local time at tove-lo.com.

The concerts will promote “Estrus,” Lo’s sixth studio album, released in September via Pretty Swede Records and Virgin Music Group. The album has 13 electropop tracks, including “DNH,” the focus track “Source of Life,” “Des Fleurs” featuring Stromae, and the lead single “I’m Your Girl Right?”

“Estrus is an animal in heat. It’s primal. It’s my mind and my body wanting different things, wanting everything,” Lo said. “There’s no good advice on this album… just a lot of feelings, no solutions.”

The album received very positive reviews. Pitchfork called the album “flashes of synth-pop brilliance,” Vogue said it is “made for the dark and sweaty rooms,” and Paste magazine called Lo “the OG messy girl of pop.”

Lo recorded the album after her 2022 album “Dirt Femme,” during the period when, according to the announcement, a new chapter in her life and career left her with more questions than answers. The songs juxtapose conflicting emotions without giving any answers: euphoria and melancholy, desire and doubt, intimacy and independence, body and mind.

She collaborated with her longtime collaborator Ludvig Söderberg, as well as Elvira Anderfjärd and Luka Kloser, drawing on the influence of The Knife, Robyn, and Swedish indie dance music.

The spring tour follows the North American leg, which recently wrapped up with stops in Nashville, Chicago, Brooklyn, New York; Toronto; Los Angeles; and Mexico City.

This week, Lo is starting her biggest headline tour in the United Kingdom and Europe, kicking off with a concert on Thursday at O2 Victoria Warehouse in Manchester, England. Rose Gray will open for these concerts, and the leg ends on November 19 at Avicii Arena in Stockholm.

Next year, in 2027, she is scheduled to perform in February. At the Electric Avenue Festival in Christchurch, New Zealand, she performed on the main stage. Then she performed headline concerts in Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney, and Perth, Australia, from March 1 to March 7, with Salty opening.

Lo gained fame with her debut album “Queen of the Clouds” in 2014, which became platinum. It includes the songs “Habits (Stay High),” which is triple platinum, and “Talking Body,” which is double platinum.

Lo collaborated with Nick Jonas on “Close” and with Flume on “Say It.” She also collaborated with Charli XCX, Alesso, Coldplay, and Major Lazer. She wrote for Lorde and Zara Larsson and co-wrote Ellie Goulding’s “Love Me Like You Do.”

Other Lo’s albums include 2016’s “Lady Wood,” 2017’s “Blue Lips (Lady Wood Phase II),” and 2019’s “Sunshine Kitty,” which was called one of the year’s best and received a Grammy nomination for “Glad He’s Gone.” She followed with “Dirt Femme,” exploring femininity and independence, and “Heat,” a collaborative EP with SG Lewis.
