A 33-Year-Old Louisiana Teacher Accused of Giving Birth to Student’s Child Out On Bond

A Louisiana teacher has been arrested after giving birth to a baby who was allegedly fathered by a 17-year-old student.

Morgan Freche, 33, turned herself in earlier this week and is now facing several charges, including third-degree rape, oral sexual battery, and four counts of felony carnal knowledge of a juvenile.

According to WBRZ, the allegations against Freche date back to 2020, when she allegedly began grooming the student while he was a student at Loranger Middle School. Her behavior continued when the student transferred to Loranger High School, as the two schools share a campus.

On September 24th, the first allegations were made public, and Freche resigned four days later.

“We have just learned of the arrest of former Tangipahoa Parish teacher, Morgan Freche,” Superintendent Melissa Stilley said in a statement. “Although personnel and student matters are confidential and the specifics of such matters may not be discussed, student safety and the proper conduct of school district employees are a priority. Neither the Board nor this office will tolerate employee behavior which crosses the line in areas such as the proper professional relationships between educators and their students.”

Morgan Freche’s total bond was set at $155,000, according to the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office.

Additionally, she must wear an ankle monitor.

A DNA test between Freche’s and the student is allegedly being considered by the authorities as a verification measure.
