Alabama Deputy Dana Elmore Sparks Outrage After Using Stun Gun on Handcuffed Man

In a disturbing incident that has ignited widespread condemnation, an Alabama police officer, Dana Elmore of the Pickens County Reform Police Department, is facing intense backlash after a video circulated on social media showing her using a stun gun on a man who was already handcuffed.

The incident occurred on Saturday, December 2, and the video, shared by the man’s girlfriend, Jalexis Monea Rice, depicts Officer Elmore swearing and laughing at the man, identified as Micah Washington, who was on the ground. Elmore proceeded to instruct Micah to lean face down on the hood of a car, searched him, and was met with Micah’s statement that he had a gun nearby.

In response, Officer Elmore laughed before using a stun gun directly on Micah’s back, causing him to cry out in distress. The video captures the officer verbally berating the handcuffed man, asking him to “shut the f**k up” and threatening to use the stun gun again.

Micah Washington was subsequently arrested on multiple charges, including drug trafficking and resisting arrest. The officer involved in the incident has been placed on leave pending an investigation.

The footage quickly went viral, prompting a wave of online outrage. People expressed disgust at Officer Elmore’s actions, demanding her immediate termination and legal consequences for the apparent abuse of power. The incident further fueled discussions about police brutality and the need for accountability within law enforcement.

The Pickens County Reform Police Department is now under increased scrutiny, with calls for a thorough investigation into the conduct of Officer Dana Elmore.
