Angelo Quinto: Man Suffering From Mental Health Crisis Dies After Antioch Police Officer Kneels On His Neck, Family Says

A 30-year-old Antioch man died after an officer pressed his knee on the back of the man’s neck while he was suffering a mental health crisis, family members told KTVU.

The man has been identified as Angelo Quinto. Quinto’s mother, Cassandra Quinto-Collins revealed to KTVU that he was pleading for his life in his last moments of being conscious.

“He said ‘Please don’t kill me. Please don’t kill me.”

Mrs. Quinto was there and thought the police would help the situation but ultimately making it a worse situation.

“I was there. I was watching them. I trusted them. I though they know what they’re doing.”

He died three days later in the hospital.

The family of Angelo Quinto gave a press conference today in the driveway of their home where Angelo was murdered by Antioch Police on Christmas during a mental health crisis.
