Jonathan Price Gunned Down By Wolfe City Police Officer For Breaking Up A Domestic Violence Situation

Last night, Hunt County Sheriff’s deputies and Wolfe City Police Officers arrived at the Kwik Chek gas station and convenience store on Santa Fe St. in Wolfe City.

They were responding to call about an altercation that took place at the gas station. A Wolfe City Police Officer shot an unarmed black man. The victim was transported to Hunt Regional Medical Center in Greenville by ground ambulance, where he was pronounced dead.

The victim was identified as Jonathan Price, according to multiple witnesses, Price was actually breaking up domestic violence situation defending a woman he didnt even know at a gas station.

A statement on the Wolfe City Police Department Facebook page announced that one of their officers was involved in a shooting, and is on administrative leave. The Texas Rangers are leading the investigation.

Jonathan Price was a well-known resident of Wolfe City, having grown up in the rural town located in northwest Hunt County. Price, a physical fitness trainer, and an employee of Wolf City was reportedly unarmed, according to multiple witnesses.
