Alice Dearing Becomes Britain’s First Black Female Olympic Swimmer

Marathon swimmer Alice Dearing set to become first black woman to represent Team Great Britain in Olympic swimming.

Dearing clinched her spot after finishing fourth at the Tokyo 2020 marathon swimming qualification event in Setubal, Portugal.

The 24 year old is among nine others who also won the spots to represent their individual countries at the Olympics next month.
