A North Carolina woman named Angel Pittman planned to create a mobile hair salon after purchasing land in Rowan County for $10,000 and three school buses for $14,000. Pittman planned to live in one of the buses and use the other two for business purposes.

That’s before she encountered an elderly white neighbor who planned to make her life a living hell.

Pittman claims the elderly white man gave her weird vibes while she was going through the process of purchasing land but she went on to buy the land anyway.

A week later on September 23rd, she returned with her mom to unload the buses. This time the white man approached her to ask ‘‘Why are you guys here? Are y’all looking for shade?” The Guardian reports.

After that encounter, Pittman heads back to Charlotte with her mom for a week, and then they returned to the land again.

She told The Guardian that he proceeded to display violent and racist behavior. Upon her return this time her buses got vandalized. The glass windows were broken.

Pittman claims the elderly white man began to put up swastikas and KKK signs on his lawn.

“He sat over there and had his gun out the whole time,” she said. “He was like, ‘Get the f*ck off my lawn. And [that] we need to get them f*cking buses off his lawn. So basically saying, my land was his.”

She eventually called the police but they couldn’t help her because the signs were on his property.

Pittman headed back home to Charlotte, where she is raising funds to try to cover her losses and restart her business on a patch of land in that area instead. To donate to her GoFundMe page, click here.
