Ari Kytsya Says The Industry Is “Not Easy Money”: “I Work Just As Hard Or Harder Doing This”

Ari Kytsya, an adult content creator, advises people to reconsider entering the industry. In one of her TikTok videos, she emphasizes that money is greatly overrated, while the personal costs of such a choice are high.

“Why you should not become a mattress actress or a Bop number one,” she says at the start of the video.

Kytsya starts by saying the money figures such content creators post are generally fake, and most of the income goes to those who already have a follower base.

“The amount of people who lie about how much they make on social media, it’s crazy,” she said. “And anyone who actually makes a lot usually already had a following.”

Then, she tells about the privacy problems. Because the video is public, anyone can see it.

“When you’re putting things like that of yourself online, anybody in the world, including your family, including your boss, will be able to see those videos that you put out, even if they don’t try to,” she said. “People love to send them to people that you know in real life.”

This decision will also cut off all future employment opportunities.

“You most likely will not be able to get another job after this,” she said. “Have you tried all the things that you wanna do? If not, you should, because you might not have a chance.”

This job is neither easy nor passive. According to Ari Kytsya, the job requires effort.

“Also, this job is not easy money,” she said. “I work just as hard or harder doing this in any job that I have.”

Also, creators face harassment every day and shifting attitudes.

“People are also gonna treat you differently. And you’ll be met with a lot of hate every single day,” she said. “There’s not a day that someone doesn’t say something horrible to me.”

Also, Ari warns about the need for continuous safety expenses due to the creation of relationships.

“Also have to think of the cost that it is to protect yourself in your content because you’re forming relationships with people, and sometimes those people don’t want them to just stay online,” she says.

Kytsya also mentions piracy and exploitation by people working in the industry.

“People will also take your, you know, videos and put them on sites and sell them,” she said. “There’s also a lot of people in the industry that will take advantage of you, specifically managers. They’ll take way too much money from you. Promise you things, lock you in contracts, make you do things.”

Pay can vary monthly.

“And income is also really unpredictable,” she said. “One month it will be really high, and the next it will be at the floor.”

Also, Kytsya mentions platform enforcement as a barrier to promotion.

“Social media is also against us, so marketing yourself is even harder now,” she said. “Your TikTok pages will get banned, your Instagram will get banned, your Snapchat will get banned, your Twitter will get banned, and it is not free to get them back.”

She admits that her experience is positive, but warns that her case is unusual.

“I love this job. It works great for me,” she said. “The pros, for me, outweigh the cons. But I’m also obviously in a very privileged place in the industry.”

She finishes her talk with direct advice for those considering working in the industry.
