Woman Goes Viral With Blunt Dating Advice: “Men Only Do What You Allow”

In a TikTok video, content creator Via G urged women to stand up to men who mistreat them during dating.

“This is your friendly neighborhood Bob reminding you men only do what you allow. That is it,” she said. “He nags you, you keep laughing it off. You’re allowing it. He disappears for three days. He comes back: “Sorry, I was busy.” You move on like nothing ever happened. You’re allowing it.”

She also recommended that women use the block function on social media when they realize their relationship goes nowhere.

“You want to relieve ship? You’re stuck in a situation. Ship. Block that [expletive]. Move on. Go get the relationship you want. You’re allowing it,” she said. “He follows Instagram, [expletive] like myself. You don’t like it, you tell him to unfollow me. What does he do? Not unfollow me. Leave his [expletive]. You’re allowing it. Your best friend is the block button. Get used to it.”

According to Via G, she acts similarly in real life, mentioning her recent dating experience as an example.

“I went on a date with a man who told me he wouldn’t kiss me because my lipstick looked [expletive] up. I opened up my phone, realized my lipstick looked perfectly fine next day. Block them. I never give you the chance to nag me again,” she said. “Nag me once, shame on you. Nag me twice. Why the [expletive] would I let you nag me twice when you already did it one time? I blocked that [expletive]. No shame on me. I went on the next date.”

However, Via G highlighted that her statement had nothing to do with blaming women for being in such situations.

“This is not victim blaming. This is taking back your control and your power over your own life. You know what you want, go and get it,” she said. “A dude isn’t giving you what you want. Block that [expletive]. Cause if this [expletive] won’t, there’s a [expletive] who will. Every [expletive] time.”

Moreover, she pointed out that with so many men available to date, one rejection doesn’t mean a woman’s chances of meeting another guy are over.

“Four billion men on this earth and you think because Scotty’s little [expletive] won’t give you what you want is the end of the world? No. Go holler at Johnny. Johnny won’t do it. Go talk about Timmy. Mr. Patel across the street. I don’t [expletive] know,” she said. “The picking of the chooses. And you’re a woman, and you hold the power in your [vulgar reference to female anatomy], so [expletive] act like it.”

Finally, Via G addressed herself in her video, explaining that her advice was applicable to her personally as well.

“I’m also talking to myself, by the way. This is not just for you guys. This is also for me. This is quite healing, in a way,” she said. “A man will only do what you allow. Get yourself together.”
