The storm, which was the fourth to hit the country in recent weeks, brought in strong waves, winds and flooding while torrential rain triggered landslides in the central province of Quang Nam. Local media VnExpress reported at least 15 deaths with dozens still declared missing.

Soldiers and heavy machinery are being used to search for survivors in Vietnam after landslides triggered by Typhoon Molave killed at least 15 people.

Typhoon Molave also struck the Philippines on Sunday, causing fatalities, power grid failure and inundation in low-lying areas. It is its 4th major storm this month, with over 130 people killed. Many areas are still flooded, with 178,000 homes inundated.
