Bella Hadid has urged President Biden to press for a ceasefire in Gaza, where innocent civilians are being killed and resources are scarce.
The Palestinian supermodel took to Instagram to share a series of photos from the (ARTISTS4CEASEFIRE.ORG) that showed the letter the organization wrote to President Joe Biden regarding the cessation of fire in Gaza.
Bella’s third Instagram slide showed an image that read, “More than 7,000 civilians in Gaza have been killed by Israeli airstrikes since October 7th.”
The same Instagram slide listed the number of children, journalists, teachers, United Nations personnel, medical workers, and first responders killed as a result of the war.
It also revealed that 18,000 people were injured, with more than half of them being children, and that at least 1,600 people who were reported missing are still missing, including at least 900 children.
Some of the celebrities who signed the Gaza cease-fire petition are also featured in Bella Hadid’s Instagram post.
The Palestinian supermodel also addressed the situation in Gaza in her Instagram caption.
“This is the most intense bombardment in the history of Gaza,” Bella Hadid said. “US White House National Security Council dangerously says Israel ‘owes no-one any justification’ and that it will have ‘no red lines.’ Innocent lives should always be justified in the name of humanity.”
“Israel has completely shut off telecommunications and electricity across Gaza,” Bella Hadid states. “Injured civilians currently can’t call ambulances. Medics are begging reporters to let them know where bombardments are happening, but reporters don’t know either because of the internet outage. The people of Gaza have nowhere to go. Children are dying. Please.”
