Beyoncé, the global superstar and Grammy-winning artist, surprised her fans with a special Thanksgiving surprise during the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.
The Houston singer appeared in a video message introduced by “Today” show anchor and parade co-host Hoda Kotb, who referred to Beyoncé as the “voice of a generation.”
“Hey, it’s Beyoncé wishing you and your family a very happy Thanksgiving. I’m so honored to share with you the first look at the ‘Renaissance’ film trailer,” said Beyoncé, who appeared in a studded leather jacket and dangling silver earrings.
The teaser for “Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé” begins with a heartwarming scene of Beyoncé’s daughter, Rumi, filming her multi-talented mother.
The trailer then cuts to a montage of electrifying moments from the Renaissance World Tour, with cameos by Megan Thee Stallion and Diana Ross.
“I have nothing to prove to anyone at this point,” Beyoncé declares in a voiceover. “We are creating our own world. This is my reward. No one can take that away from me.”
“Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé” will be released in theaters on December 1st, following Beyoncé’s highly acclaimed Renaissance World Tour, which concluded on October 1st. It will feature footage from the tour’s first stop in Stockholm, Sweden, on May 10th, to the grand finale on October 1st in Kansas City, Missouri.
The film will include concert footage as well as visual elements from Beyoncé’s most recent album, “Renaissance,” as well as a documentary-style story about the album’s creation and tour.
“When I am performing, I am nothing but free. The goal for this tour was to create a place where everyone is free and no one is judged. You’re unique,” Beyoncé says in a preview of the movie as concert footage flashes in the background. “Start over, start fresh, create the new – that’s what the Renaissance is about.”
Tickets for “Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé” are on sale now at beyoncefilm.com, with AMC, Cinemark, Regal, and Fandango serving as official sellers.
Fans are eagerly awaiting the opportunity to relive the magic of the Renaissance World Tour and gain an intimate look into the creative process of one of the world’s most influential artists.
