This Black History Month, AT&T* Dream in Black presents the return of Black Future Makers, a future-forward celebration of inspirational people in the culture. Black Future Makers is AT&T’s celebration of notable members of the community who are inspiring those around them to Dream in Black.
Honorees include entrepreneurs, activists and everyday heroes, some of whom are frontline workers who have put themselves in harm’s way to help save the lives of others during this global pandemic. Also among his year’s Black Future Makers are several high-profile culture creators such as H.E.R., Charlamagne Tha God, Angelica Ross, D-Nice and Billy Porter.
“I am humbled to have been chosen as one of AT&T’s Black Future Makers,” says Pose star Billy Porter. “If there’s one thing that I would say to those coming up, know your history, hone your craft and remember to always dream the impossible!”
In addition to Dream in Black’s celebration of Black Future Makers, AT&T is committed as a company to championing equality and supporting the Black community beyond the month of February.
“At AT&T, we work to create opportunities, strengthen communities, and improve lives,” said Angela Burgin, AT&T director of marketing for the company’s Global Marketing Organization. “Black Future Makers is one of the many ways we celebrate, honor and uplift the voices and actions of those making a meaningful contribution to our society.”
A new group of Black Future Makers will be revealed every week during the month of February. Here is the full list so far:

A Call To Join The Dream In Black Future Maker List
The ideal Future Maker is someone who is making history today, giving back to their community, and pursuing their dreams. These Future Makers are shaping the now, the new and the next for the culture.
For a chance to be honored as a Dream in Black Future Maker, consumers can post a video highlighting what they are doing in their communities or fields to make a positive impact using the #DreamInBlack and #ATTFutureMaker hashtags. Consumers are also able to nominate other members of the community for consideration for the honor using the same process. Ten winners will be selected as part of the 2021 class of Black Future Makers and each will win $10,000.
