Blumhouse Productions is proud to present the trailer for their newest horror-thriller film The Woman in the Yard. Coming to theaters on March 28, Danielle Deadwyler plays Ramona, a survivor of a terrible car accident that killed her husband, who struggles to cope with serious grieved feelings.

From Jaume Collet-Serra, the director of Black Adam and Jungle Cruise, the film tells the story of Ramona, who must tend to her two children-14-year-old sons and a 6-year-old daughter in their remote farmhouse as she recuperates from her wounds. The sinister events in their lives start with the unannounced presence of a mystery woman, played by Okwui Okpokwasili, who shows up in their yard and says, “today’s the day.”

The closer this mysterious character comes with each passing day, it then becomes apparent that evil intentions follow her presence. Ramona must take on this paranormal menace to protect her family.

Posing as an unassuming observer, the movie marks the feature screenwriting debut of Sam Stefanak and is produced by Jason Blum (The Invisible Man, The Black Phone) and Emmy-nominated producer Stephanie Allain (The Exorcist: Believer, Hustle & Flow). Executive producers include Danielle Deadwyler, Jaume Collet-Serra, James Moran, and Gabrielle Ebron.

The Woman in the Yard assures a haunting deep dive into grief, resilience, and the supernatural, with Blumhouse continuing its convention of compelling horror narratives.

The film is set to hit theaters on March 28.
