19-year-old Bowen Turner was accused of raping three women in three different counties in South Carolina between 2018-2019. Turner was initially charged for sexual misconduct but entered a plea deal that would convict him of assault and battery.
Judge Markley Dennis gave Bowen Turner a “slap on the wrist” and “slap in the face” to the family of the victims. Turner will be serving a 5 year probation but will not have to register as a sex offender. Since he was a juvenile at the time he attacked Chloe Bess at a house party in 2019,
Before attacking Bess, he had another sexual cases going. Turner allegedly beat and raped 18-year-old Dallas Hayer Stoller in October 2018. This case was dismissed because Stoller passed away unexpectedly last year.
Prosecutors claim they cannot continue on with the case because Turner has a right to confront his accuser in court. Many people following the case wants them to move forward with the charges due to having evidences such as DNA samples and pictures of Stoller injuries sustained by Turner’s hands.
