After a phenomenally successful 2022 debut on Disney+ with “BTS: PERMISSION TO DANCE ON STAGE – LA,” BTS, the global pop icons of the 21st century, are returning to the home of award-winning Korean content.
BTS Monuments: Beyond The Star, an exclusive eight-part docuseries, is set to premiere on December 20, offering fans an intimate look into the band’s 10-year journey.
The docuseries will feature never-before-seen interviews, performances, and behind-the-scenes moments with the septet: RM, Jin, SUGA, j-hope, Jimin, V, and Jung Kook. It promises an in-depth exploration of the band’s career, shedding light on both their highest peaks and lowest valleys in a compelling narrative format.
Appearances from HYBE Chairman Bang Si-Hyuk and Kang Myeongseok, author of BEYOND THE STORY: 10-YEAR RECORD OF BTS, will provide additional perspectives on the band’s key moments across the years.
This includes the preparation for their debut, the thrill of their first awards, the hard times during the “Danger” period, their breakthrough in America, their significant UN speech, and their exhilarating performances at iconic venues like Rose Bowl Stadium and London’s Wembley Stadium.
BTS Monuments: Beyond The Star doesn’t just cover their professional journey, it also delves into the personal lives of the members. Audiences will get to witness their first impressions of each other, the initial contract renewal process, the challenges of isolation during the COVID-19 pandemic, and other heartwarming moments such as J-hope’s surprise birthday party and Jung Kook’s high school graduation.
Disney+ has also revealed the titles of the docuseries’ eight parts, each providing a glimpse of the themes to be explored:

Episode 2 – Adolescence
Episode 3 – Pursuit of Happiness
Episode 4 – Disconnected
Episode 5 – Welcome!
Episode 6 – Begin and Again
Episode 7 – Still Purple
Episode 8 – Promise For Tomorrow
The first two episodes are scheduled for premiere on December 20th, with two new episodes released every subsequent Wednesday.
BTS Monuments: Beyond The Star will join an impressive array of BTS content on Disney+, including exclusive concert films, insightful documentaries, and original reality shows featuring members of BTS.
