The influencer world has been rocked by a chilling, deeply personal two-part podcast episode featuring McKinley Richardson. Hosted by her close friend Camilla Araujo, the episode saw Richardson publicly speak for the first time about her turbulent and painful relationship with YouTuber and livestreamer Jack Doherty.
Camilla’s Reaction: “I Felt Sick.”
Camilla Araujo admits she did not want to hear Richardson’s disclosures.
“I’ve known McKinley for years, but this was different,” Araujo told Where Is The Buzz. “When she started describing what she went through, I felt sick. She didn’t just go through a bad breakup. She went through emotional abuse. Hearing her recount it in real time brought a new level of urgency to what had once been private conversations.”

Richardson expanded on what she termed one terrible night of her life. At some earlier time during the period of her relationship with Doherty, she testified that she had been beaten by one of his teenage friends after sleeping unconscious from drinking with her.
Richardson explained how she woke in horror with the man’s hand in her tights. She was afraid and attempted to wake Doherty out of his sleep whilst shunting the man away. She recollected the man muttering macabre threats and becoming paralyzed with fear.
The following morning, she clarified, sitting across the breakfast table from her alleged attacker felt like some kind of surreally awkward experience. “I was so uncomfortable just buried in the phone, trying to work out how to get out without making a scene,” she clarified.
Jack’s Alleged Reaction: From Apology to Estrangement
Richardson elaborated that after he made his friend see exactly what he did, he visibly reacted emotionally. She showed that he apologized, cried, and hugged her. He then apparently confronted his childhood friend and broke the friendship soon after. Months following the event having occurred, the friend apparently messaged Doherty, accepting full responsibility and making the drugs the cause of his action.
And for Richardson, the damage had already been done. “I couldn’t believe he did that to me, and I couldn’t believe he did that to Jack, knowing we were together in bed,” she protested during the taping, becoming tearful.
Abortion Revelation: “He Saw It as Leverage”
Among the lowest moments in the interview was the section in which Richardson testified that she became pregnant in her tumultuous relationship with Doherty.
It had been “terrifying,” she testified, recalling the day she read the results of a positive test. Rather than encouragement, she accused Doherty of treating the pregnancy as leverage. “He wasn’t going to be that thrilled to be a dad,” she testified. “He couldn’t wait for the money. He said the whole family’s YouTube channel would go wild.
Richardson related how Doherty ignored her fears regarding stability, making jokes about cheating on her and the pregnancy in an effort to regain control. The event that triggered her occurred one evening, in which, though pregnant at the time, he ostensibly puffed smoke from marijuana in his face in ridicule. “It had nothing to do with the family. It had to do with control,” Richardson trembled and stated.
In the long term, she verified that she made the painful choice to abort because she wouldn’t subject such a child to such an environment. “He said I was trapped. He mentioned no one would be with me if I were pregnant with his child,” she remembered.
