Michael Porter Jr., the Brooklyn Nets forward, was forced to vacate his house because social media influencer Celina Powell broke into the building, took possession of his address, and made it public, Porter Jr. stated in a live stream.
Celina Powell, a famous Instagram model with more than 3 million followers, was asked to participate in a live broadcast on Instagram alongside Porter Jr., internet personalities N3on, and Steiny. However, after hearing about the alleged exclusivity, she stormed into Porter Jr.’s house without his consent when he was not there and uploaded his address on her Instagram story, known as doxxing.
The police were called to the scene, but nobody was arrested.
In the aforementioned live stream, Porter Jr. discussed the incident and expressed his disappointment that Powell had revealed his location on social media.
“I don’t want to talk to her, because I stood up for her, like, I even said that I hope she’s turning over a new leaf. I said all that. I don’t know what she’s mad about,” Porter Jr. explained.
Fearing for his safety, Porter Jr. began taking valuables from his house.
As per the definition of doxxing, one makes personal information public, putting celebrities at risk from mobs, abuse, or even theft.
Previously, Powell has been associated with other NBA players. Namely, she accused Rozier of exchanging tickets at court for sexual favors, but the latter rejected this claim. Moreover, Powell was mentioned together with Dwight Howard and Kelly Oubre Jr.
