Councilwoman Andrea Boone, and A Tow, a partner company of Vehicle Management Solutions (VMS) joined forces today to bring hope and holiday joy to a family who endured unimaginable loss earlier this year. At 1 p.m., they surprised a mother of nine and her children with Christmas gifts tailored to each child, providing a bright spot in what has been a challenging year for the family.
The family was left homeless after a devastating fire destroyed a 12-unit building at the Country Oaks Apartments. The blaze wiped out their belongings and forced them to start anew, but today’s event aimed to bring comfort and a sense of normalcy during the holiday season.
“Making a difference in the lives of others is what the holiday season is all about,” said Sean Perry of A Tow Atlanta. “We are honored to partner with Councilwoman Boone to bring a little extra joy to this incredible family. Their resilience inspires us, and we are committed to supporting them as they rebuild.”
The collaboration is a continuation of A Tow Atlanta’s commitment to supporting the Atlanta community, following their Thanksgiving food drive. The company, alongside VMS, provided toys, clothes, and other essentials, ensuring that eight of the nine children will wake up to a holiday filled with surprises.
“At VMS, we believe in more than just running a business; we believe in making an impact,” said Early Walker, Senior Vice President of VMS. “This family has endured so much, and being able to help bring smiles to their faces this holiday season is a reminder of the power of giving. We’re grateful to partner with Councilwoman Boone to support those in need within our community.”
Councilwoman Boone expressed her gratitude for the generosity displayed by A Tow Atlanta and VMS, emphasizing the importance of collaboration between businesses and local leaders to uplift struggling families.
“As District 10’s Atlanta City Councilmember, I want to thank A-Tow for their incredible generosity and commitment to our community,” said Boone. “This holiday season, they have gone above and beyond, first by donating food during Thanksgiving and now by providing toys and clothes to support a local family in need. Their kindness is a powerful reminder of how businesses can make a meaningful difference in the lives of others. I am deeply grateful for their dedication to being a force for good in Atlanta.”
The Christmas surprise not only brought joy to the family but also highlighted the strength and compassion of the Atlanta community.
