‘The Diplomat’ Will Return For Season 2

The second season of the political drama The Diplomat has been ordered by Netflix.

On the weekly global Top 10 TV English list published by Netflix, The Diplomat debuted at number one on April 20th. The series received 57.48M hours of viewing in its first weekend and debuted in the top 10 in 86 nations.

Debora Cahn is the show’s creator in addition to serving as Janice Williams, Keri Russell, and the executive producer. More information, including season 2 specifics, will be released later.

“Fans all over the world are enthralled by Keri Russell’s potent portrayal of Kate Wyler in the gripping and compelling drama The Diplomat. After that incredible cliffhanger, we can’t wait for viewers to see what Debora Cahn, Janice Williams, and Keri Russell have in store for Season 2 of their drama series on Netflix, according to Jinny Howe, Vice President of Drama Series.

“I am thrilled to be headed back for another round of this smart screwball show. Dare I say it’s fun? Thank you Netflix for giving us another shot,” Keri Russell said.
