Courtney B. Vance and Niecy Nash Bring Family Drama to Life in Uncorked Trailer

Prentice Penny is making his feature film directorial debut with, Uncorked, a story about a young man striving to become a sommelier while dealing with the expectation that he’ll take over the family business, starring Mamoudou Athie, Niecy Nash, and Courtney B. Vance.

In the new film, “Uncorked,” Athie plays Elijah, a young man that is being groomed to take over his family’s BBQ restaurant, but instead, dreams of becoming a world-class master sommelier. His family reacts in a way that would make you think that maybe he told them he wanted to walk on the Moon or steal the Declaration of Independence. Basically, they’re shocked and very much confused.
