Today, the stage is set for an unforgettable celebration featuring a dazzling array of musical performances and celebrity presenters.

The star-studded lineup includes YOASOBI and Shing02, who will grace the ceremony with performances of beloved tracks from fan-favorite anime. Wrestling legend Mercedes Varnado, NFL star DeMarcus Lawrence, and multi-talented Chiaki Kuriyama are among the additional celebrity presenters.

A unique highlight of this year’s awards is the debut of the Crunchyroll Anime Awards Theme, crafted by renowned composers Hiroyuki SAWANO and KOHTA YAMAMOTO. The live performance of this theme during the ceremony promises to be a groundbreaking moment for anime music enthusiasts.

The diverse list of presenters, ranging from American football stars to renowned directors and Grammy-nominated musicians, reflects the growing influence of anime in global pop culture. With an eclectic mix of talents like Labrinth, Phil Lord & Chris Miller, and Vinnie Hacker, the event promises to be a cross-cultural celebration.

The musical lineup pays homage to anime history, commemorating the 20th anniversary of Samurai Champloo with a special performance of “battlecry” by Shing02, OMA, and SPIN MASTER A-1. Additionally, a symphony-format performance will celebrate milestone anime anniversaries, featuring iconic songs performed by a live orchestra.

Mark your calendars for March 2, 2024, as the Anime Awards will be hosted by the dynamic duo of renowned voice actress Sally Amaki and popular entertainer Jon Kabira. Fans worldwide can tune in to the live stream on Crunchyroll channels on YouTube and Twitch at 6 PM JST.

For those eager to relive the excitement, reruns will be available starting March 16th on the 24/7 Crunchyroll linear channel across Amazon FreeVee, LG Channels, Pluto TV, The Roku Channel, and VIZIO WatchFree+. The celebration extends beyond borders, uniting fans in a global appreciation of the vibrant anime culture.
