FKA Twigs returns with a new music video for her single titled “Don’t Judge Me.” The song features U.K. rapper Headie One and producer Fred Again. She announced the collaboration yesterday via Instagram. The video was co-directed by FKA Twigs and Emmanuel Adjei.

“Don’t Judge Me” is FKA Twigs’ first release as a lead artist since her 2019 second album MAGDALENE.

The ‘Don’t Judge Me’ music video deals with the experience of being Black and British in the modern world, and represents a shared “struggle against an invisible oppressor – propagated by cultural, systemic and structural biases – that is often hard to see and even harder to overcome.

FKA Twigs upcoming album will not be inspired by her alleged abusive relationship with ex-boyfriend Shia LaBeouf. The album will be much more brighter than her past projects.

“I spent so much time in darkness with him (LaBeouf) that in lockdown I’ve been missing my friends and going out, getting ready, and dancing.”

While Twigs was a guest on the Louix Theroux’s Grounded podcast, she revealed the project was written during the lockdown. Fans should expect many guest features for the album.
