Lansing police handcuffed a black teenager who was taking out the trash, possibly due to mistaken identity. When the child’s father arrived at the scene, he was handcuffed and placed in the back of the squad car.
After the officers uncuffed his son, the father asked them to tell him why they had handcuffed him. The father was obviously upset with the officers and invited them to do so.
The Lansing police department has yet to respond to the viral video on social media.
