Kaylee Hottle, a young deaf actress that played the character Jia in both Godzilla vs. Kong and the upcoming sequel, Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire, is dead at age 18.
According to Joshua Hottle, the father of the actor, she died due to involvement in a car accident. Joshua revealed that he was heading to Maryland to collect his daughter’s body.
TMZ reports that the father, Joshua Hottle, got a phone call about the accident and was later told that his daughter’s heart stopped beating after being taken to the hospital.
The young actor rose to fame when she acted in Godzilla vs. Kong by communicating in sign language with Kong. Kaylee was seen acting in NBC’s Magnum P.I. She was also set to star in a movie called What Doesn’t Kill Us, which was in pre-production.
Details are still not known about her death. More updates will be provided when there are any new developments.
