Griselda Reigns Supreme: Sofía Vergara’s Limited Series Dominates Netflix Charts

The highly anticipated limited series “Griselda,” starring and executive produced by Sofía Vergara, has risen to the top of the English TV list, confirming its status as a global sensation.

The series, inspired by the story of infamous cartel boss Griselda Blanco, debuted at #1 with an astounding 20.6 million views. It is a riveting production by Eric Newman and is directed with delicacy by Andres Baiz.

“Griselda” has achieved unprecedented global success, debuting at number one in 89 countries and remaining the most-watched title of the week. The series’ international acclaim has extended to the Most Popular List, demonstrating its supremacy in the entertainment industry.

Meanwhile, Sam Esmail’s apocalyptic thriller “Leave the World Behind,” starring Julia Roberts, Ethan Hawke, and Mahershala Ali, debuted at #8 on the Most Popular English Films List and garnered an astonishing 136.3 million views in its first 52 days on Netflix.

In addition to the Netflix hit the Money Heist franchise continues to attract audiences, with the spin-off series “BERLIN” entering both the Top 10 Non-English TV List and the Most Popular Non-English TV List at #2 and #10, respectively. The franchise now has four spots on the coveted Most Popular List, with Money Heist Parts 3, 4, 5, and the latest addition.

In terms of English films, Kevin Hart’s “Lift” remains at the top of the list for the third week in a row, with 17.4 million views. Kibwe Tavares and Daniel Kaluuya’s dystopian directorial debut “The Kitchen” takes third place, while Adam Sandler’s animated comedy “Leo” celebrates its ninth week of success.

On the Non-English Films List, Korea’s action-adventure “Badland Hunters” ranks first with 14.3 million views, followed closely by Germany’s action drama “Sixty Minutes” at number two. Spain’s Best International Film Oscar® candidate, “Society of the Snow,” directed by J.A. Bayona, remains in third place, with 75 million views since its debut.

Moving on to the English TV List, the docuseries “American Nightmare,” which delves into a case nicknamed ‘the real-life Gone Girl,’ takes the #2 spot with 13 million viewers. Adaptations continue to thrive, with Harlan Coben’s crime thriller “Fool Me Once” at #3 and the family drama “Boy Swallows Universe” at number seven.

On the Non-English TV List, Korea’s limited mystery series “The Bequeathed” has 3.1 million views and is at the top. Two Korean romance dramas make their mark, with “Captivating the King” at #7 and “Doctor Slump” at #9, adding to the list’s diversity.
