Hailey Van Lith, a star guard for Louisville, has joined the LSU Tigers, who are currently the reigning national champions, via the NCAA Transfer Portal.
Van Lith scored 19.7 points per game on average during the previous campaign. The Louisville Cardinals advanced to The Elite 8 in the NCAA Tournament thanks to the 5’7″ Van Lith, who scored 26, 21, and 27 points before losing to Iowa 97-83.
The Washington native started 101 games while playing for Louisville, starting each game with an average of 15.4 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 3.2 assists. Hailey Van Lith’s field goal percentage was 42%, and his three-point percentage was 38%.
Along with returning seasoned players like Angel Reese, Flau’Jae Johnson, Kateri Poole, and Last-Tear Poa, Mulkey will also get the nation’s top recruiting class, led by Bossier’s Mikayla Williams.
When LSU head coach Kim Mulkey was still at Baylor, the 5-foot-7 guard from Wenatchee, Washington, preferred Louisville to Baylor.
