HBO Releases Second Teaser for ‘Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone’

HBO has launched the first teaser trailer for the first season, consisting of eight episodes of “Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone.”

The series will launch in Christmas 2026 on HBO and will stream on HBO Max.

The summary of season one describes Harry Potter as not being special, at least according to his Aunt Petunia. However, the arrival of a letter from Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry to attend classes leads to an entry into a world of magic, friendship, and adventures. The walls of Hogwarts contain many secrets, and Harry must muster up the strength to confront the darkest wizard ever.

Dominic McLaughlin stars as Harry Potter, Arabella Stanton plays Hermione Granger, and Alastair Stout acts as Ron Weasley. John Lithgow is Albus Dumbledore, Janet McTeer is Minerva McGonagall, Paapa Essiedu plays Severus Snape, and Nick Frost is Rubeus Hagrid.

The cast includes Rory Wilmot playing as Neville Longbottom, Lox Pratt as Draco Malfoy, Leo Earley acts as Seamus Finnigan, Elijah Oshin acts as Dean Thomas, Tristan Harland plays as Fred Weasley, Gabriel Harland acts as George Weasley, Ruari Spooner as Percy Weasley, Alessia Leoni as Parvati Patil, Sienna Moosah acts as Lavender Brown, Finn Stephens plays as Vincent Crabbe, William Nash acts as Gregory Goyle, Warwick Davis acts as Filius Flitwick, and Sirine Saba acts as Pomona Sprout.

Some other actors in the cast are Daniel Rigby playing as Vernon Dursley, Bel Powley as Petunia Dursley, Paul Whitehouse as Argus Filch, Johnny Flynn playing as Lucius Malfoy, Bertie Carvel as Cornelius Fudge, Luke Thallon plays as Quirinus Quirrell, Katherine Parkinson as Molly Weasley, Amos Kitson plays as Dudley Dursley, Gracie Cochrane acts as Ginny Weasley, Richard Durden acts as Cuthbert Binns, Louise Brealey as Rolanda Hooch, Bríd Brennan as Poppy Pomfrey, Leigh Gill as Griphook, and Anton Lesser as Garrick Ollivander.

Based on J.K. Rowling’s books, Francesca Gardiner created and executive produced the series. Mark Mylod will be an executive producer and direct some episodes of the series on HBO, which Brontë Film and TV and Warner Bros. Television will produce.
