Peacock premiered its first original Bravo microdrama Monday with “Campus Confidential: Miami” hitting the Peacock mobile app as the streaming service continues to grow its short-form video library.
The two-chapter series will total 50 episodes about a group of elite college students in Miami who are balancing friends, relationships, fraternity life, and social media scandals.
Chapter One, “The Sorority Dropout,” consists of 27 episodes about Georgia Gay (daughter of Heather Gay, star of Bravo’s “The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City”) and her mission to rebuild her social life after quitting her sorority, while Chapter Two, “Influencer Enemies,” consists of 23 episodes about the beef that breaks out on campus between rivals and social media influencers Sienna Long and Nikki Pindor after a fight goes viral online.
The series is produced by Micromaker and Haymaker East and executive-produced by Aaron Rothman, Josh Halpert, Jesse Light, and Liz Gately.
The premiere comes at a time when Peacock has begun phase two of its mobile strategy, unveiling a single mobile app experience alongside new features such as interactive gaming, shoppable content, and live sports.
The new features add to more than 18 months of vertical video developments at Peacock, including Can’t Miss Clips, live sports highlights, and accompanying games for programs like “Love Island USA” and “Wheel of Fortune.”
