Hope De Graauw said the most terrifying experience of her life happened on what could have been just a regular night out.
When asked by Where Is The Buzz what the wildest thing she experienced was and whether there was a moment when she felt in real danger, De Graauw talked about being chased by a driver of a four-wheel-drive while she and her friend were walking along the foreshore. The fear stemmed from uncertainty about the driver’s intentions.
“My friend and I got chased by a 4wd on a night out while walking along the foreshore, and we ended up hiding in a bush while the guy was looking for us. He ended up driving away,” she said. “That was probably the most memorable moment when I felt genuinely in danger, because we had no idea of his intentions, and I’m so glad we got away.”
When asked who would be at the top of her collab wish list and whether there’s anyone she would say no to, De Graauw said that she hasn’t collaborated with any other creator but would consider doing so.
“I wouldn’t turn anyone down, honestly. I’m open to collabs. I’ve never really collabed with anyone, but Ari Kystya is someone I look up to a lot, so probably her,” she said.
De Graauw was also asked to mention four things that make her instantly feel disgusted with a man and explain her answer. She named two characteristics she finds disgusting: arrogance and dishonesty.
“When they’re cocky and ignorant: someone who just doesn’t care about anyone else and only themselves is the biggest turnoff for me,” she said. “Also a manipulator. I can spot one from a mile away.”
As for celebrity crushes and the qualities that attract her, De Graauw said she doesn’t have one but does have a type of person that she likes.
“I don’t really have a celebrity crush, but my type is definitely someone who looks like Jacob Elordi,” De Graauw said. “I think I’d pick him because of his features. The dark brown hair, I love a mullet and mustache combo which is an Aussie classic, and height as well.”
Finally, De Graauw was asked what one thing about her would surprise her fans. Being an outgoing personality online, she mentioned that she’s actually quite shy in real life.
“I’m actually super shy,” she said. “I’m not an introvert, but I’m pretty shy, especially when meeting new people.”
