The Swedish superstar Zara Larsson made Chicago’s music scene more vibrant on July 31 when she performed at Lollapalooza and turned a festival delay into the most memorable event of the weekend.
Larsson’s set was pushed back a bit after weather issues affected Lil Uzi’s set; she remained unfazed at Lollapalooza. She performed surrounded by large colorful flowers on stage in a striped crop top, denim shorts, and knee-high socks. The audience began to capture videos even before the first chorus.
Moreover, she succeeded. As soon as the first notes of “Lush Life” sounded, the entire Grant Park became a kind of sing-along, proving that the song can impress the festival audience ten years after its release.
Videos were widely shared on social networks, where users complimented the singer for her charisma, fashion choices, and endurance. Some viewers doubted whether it was the artist’s live performance and mentioned the problems with the timing of some dance moves. But most users were just happy about the artist’s appearance.
What is especially great is that it happened at the right time since all the footage will only contribute to her Midnight Sun era and the tour.
