How Tracy Vanderhulst Went From Teacher of the Year To Arrested For Allegedly Having Sex With A Minor

A Yucaipa High School math teacher was arrested for allegedly having sex with a 16-year-old boy.

The Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department investigated allegations of unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor by a Yucaipa High School teacher.

Tracy Vanderhulst, 38, was arrested on May 18 and booked into the Central Detention Center in San Bernardino, with bail set at $30,000.

The boy may or may not have attended high school. Detectives believe there could be more victims. The two allegedly had sex, but the sheriff’s department did not specify when or where.

The Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department requested that anyone with information about the incident contact them.

Tracy Vanderhulst was reportedly hired at Yucaipa for the first time in 2013. According to News Mirror, she had previously been named the school’s teacher of the year in 2017.
