Spanish actress Ester Expósito claims she has stopped shooting sexual scenes in movies. The actress told an interviewer at GQ Spain that she has started declining intimate scenes she believes are unnecessary.

The 26-year-old Spanish actress rose to fame internationally for her performance as Carla Rosón in Netflix’s “Élite” TV series. Ester said she does not see herself completely stopping intimate scenes.

“It’s not that I’ve refused to shoot intimate scenes, but I refuse to do them when they go too far or when they’re unnecessary. I’ve already done enough of them in Élite. I’ve decided to better protect myself, and I haven’t filmed any sex scenes since,” she claimed.

She said she fully supports her decision and now chooses only roles that make her feel comfortable.

“There is nothing wrong with them, because in the end, in film or on television, we are portraying life, and in life there is sex, just as there is violence,” she said.

In the interview for GQ Spain, Expósito discussed her intentions to work behind the scenes as well. Among her female idols, she named such actresses as Reese Witherspoon, Nicole Kidman, and Margot Robbie, saying she intends to create her own projects.

“It is very boring to be waiting for them to call you and offer you things. At some point I want to take the reins,” she said.
